The Conservatory Outreach Department of Baldwin-Wallace College is a community arts education program, within a Conservatory of Music, in which the lives of students of all ages are transformed through the study of arts creation, performance, and pedagogy. The Conservatory Outreach Department encompasses the Community Arts School, Summer Music Programs, and Community Outreach Initiatives. Goals include: Provide access to quality music education to all interested members of the community regardless of age, race, religion, ethnic origin, or level of ability; Furnish a laboratory for Conservatory pedagogy students and faculty research and development; Present and develop outreach educational and cultural programs to the community at large. The Outreach Department works closely with Conservatory faculty and staff and shares facilities and resources used in other Conservatory functions. Combined efforts permit both the Conservatory and the Outreach Department to foster an enhanced musical culture within the College and in the community beyond.
