This is an inspiring and enriching week of cello playing with adults from all professions and backgrounds who share a love of music and the cello. It is an opportunity for all those who desire an intense experience to improve their playing by immersing themselves for six days in the study of this noble instrument with like minded individuals and accomplished cellists. Cellospeak is an intensive 5 day seminar for adult cellists from novice to proficient to share their love of the cello through playing, studying, and sharing experiences with the instrument. Throughout the workshop, the participants will better their technical skills, learn about ensemble playing, and experience their own and other's performances.The week includes four half hour lessons; daily coached duets, trios, or quartets; group technique sessions; special faculty topics on various aspects of playing the cello; performances by the faculty and participants, and the famous cello choir. Faculty tutorials include, for example, various aspects of bowing and other playing techniques, practicing strategies, and improvement of intonation.
