The Des Moines Symphony Association is proud to call The Temple for Performing Arts the home of the Des Moines Symphony Academy. The DMSA celebrated its grand opening on September 8, 2003, and became the new site for the Greater Des Moines Youth Symphonies (including the Sinfonia Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, and Chamber Orchestra), the Symphony Alliance's Instrument Loan Program and our music library. The DMSA reflects the Des Moines Symphony's longstanding commitment to education in the Des Moines community. The mission of the Des Moines Symphony Academy is to provide fun, enriching, comprehensive and interactive music education experiences for students, teachers and other music lovers.
