Music07 is a unique and intensive new music festival. Several CCM and guest artists will be joined by guest composers Michael Nyman, Zygmunt Krauze and Frederic Rzewski, all of whom will be working with an invited group of young composers, both students and professionals, as well as young performing musicians. Selected chamber works by these young composers will be rehearsed, performed and recorded, under the guidance of the guest artists. Concurrently, the participants and guest artists will prepare and perform twentieth-century chamber music classics. The new and not-so-new pieces will be performed in a series of concerts throughout the festival.
