The Maine Academy of Country Music will present the sixth annual COUNTRYGRASS Festival Friday through Sunday, August 16 to 18, at Broken Acres Family Retreat, 160 Valley Road in Jefferson. This year's festival headliners are Tony Booth and Jade Jack who will perform two shows on Saturday only. Other performers include Fred and Pat Thompson, Bob Elston, Slim Andrews, Dan Corbett, Cady Beaulieau, Wade Dow, Peter Allen and The Allen Tradition Band, Pard and Lisa Higgins, Burt Truman and Chris Fyfe, along with many others. Ticket prices at the gate are: Friday, 4 to 10 p.m., $10; Saturday, 11 a.m. To 10 p.m., $20; and Sunday, 10:00 am to 2:30 p.m., $10. Children under 12 are admitted at no charge.
