Young musicians from all over Central Washington come together for the Icicle Creek Youth Symphony program during the school year. From 60 to 70 high school and middle school musicians study and perform symphonic music with their peers from around the region. Icicle Creek Youth Symphony fills a void for students without school orchestral program. It enhances area school orchestral programs by providing additional outlets for students to develop their skills. It also provides a local alternative to similar programs in metropolitan areas that require significant travel. College credit may be available through Wenatchee Valley College for students aged 16 and above. Rehearsals are held each Monday from 5:15 pm to 6:30 pm at the Eastmont Junior High School during the Fall and Spring quarters.
