Applications for the online Master's in Music Education degree program are accepted three times per year. .

Applicants will be reviewed for admission on the strength of their ability for graduate studies, based upon the following criteria:   

•    Show completion of a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college
     or university.

•    Complete School of Music Graduate School Online Application   

•    Submit official transcripts of all schools attended    

•    Present professional portfolio including:   
    o    Three professional letters of recommendation   
    o    Curriculum Vitae  
    o    Personal statement indicating goals in pursuing a graduate degree   
    o    Writing sample in a topic related to music or music education (minimum of 3 pgs)
    o    Completed observation form or videotape of applicant teaching or observation form
           completed by a supervisor   

•    International students applying to the Master's program must have a minimum
     TOEFL score of 550 (paper) 213 (computer) or 80 (internet)

The application deadline for the Fall 2009 term is September 2.
