Personal Statement

Through my experience with many private voice teachers in many genres(opera,jazz,pop/rock,gospel), I feel as though I bring various techniques in developping the voice through vocalises sung in different styles. Having sung in a Gospel Choir at Berklee College, I feel as though the competition and stage experience adds to my teaching on a performance level. I currently teach a world renowed early childhood music program, and am a certified early childhood teacher. I feel as though this adds to my ability to work with children in the years preschool through school age. I have also worked in ensemble settings for middle school/high school children, in a church setting (Contemporary Christian Rock) and in a Teen Rock Band for the YMCA Teen Night. I feel as though my years of my own private instuction, coupled with my teaching experience allows me to be a versatile music teacher.

She performed in many local bands, singing lead and background vocals. “Lovething”, a pop/rock band, caught the eye of the producer for Bon Jovi, in a local “Battle of the Bands”.
Kim auditioned for Stage Source, and received many callbacks for equity roles. She sang in many local Broadway/Cabaret shows. She also sang on the Spirit of Boston.
She continued with her love for Gospel Music, while performing on the Worship Team at Crossroads Church while temporarily residing in Georgia. While in Georgia, she made the first cut for Nashville Star. She is currently singing at North River Church in Pembroke and often sits in with local musicians. Kimberly has found a place to combine her love for children and her passion for music in Kindermusik. Her five year old daughter, Alyssa, loves dancing to the latest songs with her.
