Teaching methods
To assist students in discovering and developing their talents, while providing a foundation of knowledge to positively encourage them to pursue their passions in life. Ashten’s avid love for performing and dedication to providing an education for future musicians has fueled her teaching methods. Her approach to teaching voice focuses on anatomy and artistic understanding of the voice as a human instrument, while advocating proper technique, vocal health, overall musicianship, and performance practices.

Along with singing, Ashten plays the piano, guitar, and saxophone. She especially loves to accompany herself with the guitar or the piano while singing and enjoys teaching students how to use proper vocal production while also using an accompaniment instrument.
