Personal Statement
It is every teacher's goal to make music lessons fun and enjoyable for the students, but the difficult part is how. From my personal experience, I think it is important for the teacher to have a great relationship with the students and parents first, and be creative and flexible with the teaching methods. When I am teaching my younger students, my goal is to plant the seed of love for music in their early education and nourish it as they become older, so that it will blossom and they will become admirers and advocates for the arts when they grow up.

I usually include technique, reading, musical discussion, and interpretation in the lesson plan for adult students, and do reading, story telling, games, finger exercise, and ear training with my younger students. Every student is unique, and I want to motivate them and make them feel good about playing the piano.
