Personal Statement

I have of ten years of experience as a classical guitar teacher. I have taught students of all ages and all levels. I received my Master of Music Degree from the Yale School of Music where I studied with Benjamin Verdery. I am also a graduate of the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore where I earned both a Bachelors of Music and a Graduate Performance Degree in the studio of Manuel Barrueco.
In my teaching, I provide a comprehensive method of instruction. I emphasize the development of good practice habits and use a diverse array of repertoire to help make the learning process interesting and enjoyable. I hope to inspire in my students a deep appreciation for the classical guitar as well as a desire to master the instrument both musically and technically.

I am considering taking lessons. Please contact me with further information. Thank you.
