Personal Statement
Music is everything. As a teacher, I enjoy finding the best method of delivery for each student regardless of age, and I find that understanding the individual is key to opening the door to the musical experience. I have taught individuals and classes ranging in age from 5 to 92 years old, and from special education beginners to advanced college students.

I am a professional music educator licensed K-12 in instrumental music, specializing in piano, strings and theory.

First lesson or consultation is always free to see if we are good fit.
Education / Training
I have a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Ohio State and my Master's in Music Ed. from Cleveland State where I studied with Charles Carleton of the Cleveland Orchestra (Double Bass), and worked as a teaching assistant.

I was part of a team that received a 2 College Emmys among other awards, having scored the soundtrack. Member of Pi Kappa Lambda Honors Music Fraternity. I have extensive experience arranging for and performing with small ensembles for weddings and other engagements across a wide repertoire of music.

I have worked closely with David Frego (Dalcroze), Richard Gillespie (ASTA) and Charles Carleton (Cleveland Orchestra) among other experts in their own music fields. I have maintained a private studio for 17 years, and through my work in New York City's public schools, continue to seek out new professional development opportunities and expertise.

I am considering taking lessons. Please contact me with further information. Thank you.
