Personal Statement
My name is Alex Economou. I have graduated Berklee College of Music majoring in Voice Performance with Honors and receiving the Voice Department Achievement Award. I lived in Los Angeles for the past two years working as a session vocalist and a private piano and vocal teacher. I was voted Best Jazz Artist of the Year in the 2013 AIM Awards and my debut single "Brighter Day" topped the charts in Cyprus and CDBaby's Jazz-Pop Genre and was also nominated for a 2012 Hollywood Music in Media Award. Along with other things, I have recorded Jingles for Kellogg's Crunchy nut and a song playing in the Greek movie "Ta Kolopeda". I love sharing my knowledge with my students and finding what's best for every single one of them focusing on their feelings, talent and skills while making the lesson a fun and interesting experience.
