Personal Statement

I am an experienced instructor with an M.M. in Composition from NYU. I have years of teaching experience and extensive performance experience in rock, jazz, funk/fusion, pop, classical, and experimental/avant-garde music.

I primarily teach beginner- intermediate level guitar and beginner - advanced upright and electric bass.

I also teach modern music theory and composition, from songwriting to modern classical and avant-garde, as well as fundamentals of electronic/ computer music programming.

My lessons emphasize musical creativity above all else and are catered to each individual student's needs. My goal as a teacher is to not only develop my student's technical abilities, but try to help them develop their own voice as a musician and reach their fullest potential while pursuing their musical interests.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
