Personal Statement

I have been playing the organ and piano since I was about 6 years old. I was involved in music groups (band and choir) and activities (private music lessons - voice and organ) throughout my years in elementary, high school, and college. When I was 15, I was asked to be our church's organist. I currently accompany the church choir and am the church pianist/organist. I am in the process of starting a bell choir as well. I have also directed several choirs. I like to teach piano students using the Alfred Basic Piano Course and have been teaching off and on for the past 10-12 years.
