Personal Statement

Hello! My name is Cody Robinson, and I am a music educator in the Nashville Tennessee area. My teaching services include horn lessons, world music lessons, and general music tutoring for all ages. The main rules are: be positive, be ready to learn, and have fun while learning!

Education / Training

From 2006-2011 I earned my undergraduate degree from Austin Peay State University in Music Education. The following school year (2011-2013) I continued my studies and completed APSU's M.Mu. Music Education program. I studied horn with Francis Massinon, studied conducting and performed in the Wind Ensemble and Orchestra under Dr. Gregory Wolynec, Music Education with Dr. Eric Branscome, and participated in marching band and learned marching band techniques with John Schnettler.

My most recent academic venture was completed in Ireland at the University of Limerick, Irish World Academy of Music and Dance. While there, I earned an M.A. in Ethnomusicology under Dr. Colin Quigley, Dr. Aileen Dillane, and Dr. Mats Melin. I return in January to take part in the graduation ceremonies.

I am considering taking lessons. Please contact me with further information. Thank you.
