Personal Statement

My name is Jesus V. Murillo, and I just relocated from Montreal to the Chicago area. Though I am still performing around the country and Chicago-area, I am actively building a studio of students (preferably Beginner-Intermediate) for the coming year. I have studied under Will Crutchfield, and actively practice in the Bel-Canto technique. Though I am more than competent to work with Intermediate singers, I am very much interested in working with Beginners, so as to lay a solid foundation (mezza di voce, healthy onsets, steady vibrato [on all notes], etc.) before continuing onto anything more extreme. Healthy technique and a thorough interpretation of the song-text are my two main pillars. Whatever your level of preparation, if you're interested in developing a healthy product, then I'm your guy. Thank you so much for your time, and have a great day.

Jesús V. Murillo
