Personal Statement
Alexander Knox is a local freelance clarinetist as well as woodwind doubler. He maintains a full studio of competitive private students and is an avid chamber musician as the clarinetist with the Meraki Chamber Players and alto saxophonist with the Garden State Saxophone Quartet. Alexander has performed with The Talea Ensemble, Adelphi Orchestra, The Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey, The Wind Symphony of Southern New Jersey, The Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey, The Ridgewood Concert Band and various other local ensembles. As an educator, Alexander teaches sectionals and chamber music with the New Jersey Youth Orchestras, wind ensemble director for the Fair Lawn Summer Music Program, as well as varied local high school coachings in both masterclass and chamber settings.

Alexander Knox holds a Master's in Music Performance from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor's in Music Performance from Montclair State University. He studied clarinet with Alan Kay, David Singer and Arne Running, and saxophone with Harvey Pittel and Erik Lawrence.
