Personal Statement
I am a guitar, upright bass, and electric bass instructor. I have been performing and composing music for over thirty years. I have been a music teacher since 2003. I have experience teaching private lessons, group classes, ensembles, improvisation, sight-reading, theory, and composition etc. I have a variety of experience in the music profession that includes: film scoring, jingle writing, music editing, touring the U.S. and Europe, and performing and composing a variety of musical styles. Jazz and Rock are my specialties.
As a teacher, my goal is to help students realize their full potential as musicians while helping them find their own musical identity. My combination of world and academic experience is what I try to convey to my students. I basically try to take all the things I learned from the great teachers and performers that came before me and pass it on while incorporating my own ideas.
I am very passionate about music and I enjoy watching my students progress. Music is a great way to establish self worth and confidence. I feel its very important to keep the art of music alive through education and performance.

I am considering taking lessons. Please contact me with further information. Thank you.
