Personal Statement
I am a classically trained piano teacher, with over 15 years of experience teaching students privately and in DC area schools, having learned from one of the best conservatories in Russia. I am open to adjusting my teaching style and find a specific approach that best benefits my student. I teach different styles of music from classical & jazz to popular.

Teaching Experience ▪ September 2005-present. As a private piano instructor at Montessori School of Great Falls, VA

January 2003–present. As a Private Piano Instructor in the Northern Virginia area, obtained a variety of experiences working with students of different ages, backgrounds, levels of skill and abilities. Directed semi-annual student recitals.
 1991–1999. Worked as a Teacher at the Piano Department of Arzamas Musical College (Russia). Taught courses on Solo Piano Performance, Piano Ensemble, Chamber Ensemble, Practice Teaching, Concert Master, and History of Piano Art to piano majors and minors, working with students 15-21 years old. Numerous performances in collegiate concerts as a solo pianist and with various instruments and voice.

Papers “History of Piano Art”, a course for Arzamas Musical College. This paper analyses various musical styles with emphasis on performance. This course was approved by the Nizhniy Novgorod State Conservatory and used as the basis for a course of the same name. The course raised students’ professional level of understanding the issues involved in piano performance of particular styles, composers, and pieces

Performances▪ 1977-1999. Frequent performances in Arzamas Musical College as well as in the Arzamas Region with solo, ensemble, and chamber music.
 April 2, 2000. Solo Recital, First Baptist Church of Clarendon Chapel, Arlington VA.
 April, 2005. Piano accompanist, arranger and composer for the theater at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA, Manassas, VA). Productions included The Lone Ranger, Fibber McGee and Molly and The Shadow.
