Personal Statement
I love teaching and see each student as a unique human being who has come to me to discover the path of self-expression through singing. Beginning level students are just getting acquainted with the fundamentals of vocal technique and the language of music. Advanced level students might be preparing to do a recording, developing repertoire, or looking for arrangement ideas. I have personally experienced all of these things in my 30+ years as an active professional performer. I teach individual lessons in vocal technique, musicianship, repertoire, performance, composition, and beginning piano. I also offer performance and theory classes, beginning and advanced level. I specialize in helping my students to find their own unique sound and direction, and in keeping the emphasis on fun, supported by organized practice. I am particularly interested in helping students overcome their fears and find the real joy that made them want to sing in the first place.

I am considering taking lessons. Please contact me with further information. Thank you.
