Personal Statement
 
I offer private instruction in trumpet as well as jazz improvisation for all instrumentalists.

Over my 40+ year career as a professional trumpet player I have performed with jazz legends Donald Byrd, Barry Harris, Jaki Byard, Walter Bishop Jr., Jimmy Heath, Slide Hampton, as well as Tito Puente, Machito, Larry Harlow, Maurice Hines, Leslie Uggams, Rita Moreno and Bobby Rydell.

Throughout my career I have been solidly committed to education, through private teaching and within the NYC public school system. I accept students of all ages.

I hold a masters degree in music education from NYU.

Former students include Ray Vega, Myron Walden, Jason Lindner, Ari Roland, William Ash, Daniel Freedman.
