Personal Statement
I am a patient, dedicated, motivating piano teacher with over 25 years of experience teaching students of all ages and levels. I have performed to high acclaim as a recitalist, chamber musician, and soloist with orchestras throughout Austria, Holland, Israel, Romania, former Soviet Republics and the United States. A prizewinner of international piano competitions including the Stravinsky Awards and Young Keyboard Artists Association International Piano Competitions, I have also received the Yale University Bruce Simonds Scholarship Award for outstanding performance in solo and chamber literature as well as a PBD Foundation Music Scholarship. Strongly committed to music education, I have taught at Yale, Indiana and Montclair State Universities and Bergen Community College. I am presently completing a Doctorate of Music from Indiana University, and holds a Master of Music from Yale University and a Bachelor of Music from Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University. I maintain a private studio and am on the faculty of the Thurnauer School of Music at the JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly. I reside in River Edge with my husband and two sons.
