Personal Statement

I'm a pianist with Masters Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy, graduated from St.-Petersburg State Conservatory, St.-Petersburg, Russia in 1998.
Iíve received an extensive training in piano performance, theory, technique, music history and piano pedagogy. I incorporate Russian piano school methods while using Bastian, Alfred and other American piano methods.
I moved to US in 1999 and have been privately teaching piano ever since.
During the past 11 years I also held several corporate jobs, including retail jewelry sales, which helped me to achieve English proficiency, and better understanding of people with diverse backgrounds and cultures.
I welcome students of all ages and abilities to my Chicago studio, as well as give lessons at the convenience of my studentsí own homes.

My mission as a teacher is to promote complex and structured music education, exceptionally important for children and young adultís development.
