Personal Statement

I am an experienced music teacher, teaching voice, piano, ear training and music theory. I teach both adults and children and am extremely patient and supportive of my students. I love teaching music and helping my students learn at their own pace and understanding. I've taught in the public schools for a number of years as well as teaching private students. My educational background includes a B.F.A. in vocal performance, graduating Cum Laude from City College and graduate studies at Hunter College in music education. I am also an independent recording artist, and have recorded and produced two CDs, and have performed in many clubs and venues in the New York City area throughout the years. For the past two years I was asked to participate in NYCHA's Annual Talent Contest at the Apollo Theater as one of the judges. Music is my passion and my business.
