Personal Statement

If you are looking for high-quality private guitar lessons from a seasoned professional teacher that values learning & creativity, then give me a call.

With over 17 years of teaching experience, I can help you find your inner rock star or concert guitarist; I'll help you start playing guitar the way you want to play. I host lessons at my studio in Lake in the Hills or I will travel to your home if it's within my roaming radius.

I can teach you or your child rock, metal, blues, classical, finger-style or bass guitar. No experience is needed and my lessons are guaranteed to be fun and inspiring. I develop an individualized lesson plan, repertoire and practice schedule for each of my students. I'm also very pleased to provide my students the unique opportunity to perform in real-world settings, guiding them on their journey of creative expression.

Education / Training

My formal education includes studying with Steven Suvada at Harper and Elmhurst Colleges; my master classes were under the instruction of Štěpán Rak, Javier Calderón and Vladislav Bláha.

From 1998-1999, I held the first chair position in the Harper College Guitar Ensemble.
