The Renaissance Music Academy of Virginia provides a broad program of serious musical study in an environment of educational excellence that will become the basis for a lifelong involvement with music. The 15 members of the faculty are all professional musicians trained and dedicated to the teaching of young people. The school has an enrollment of 300 students ranging in age from 3 years old to adult. The curriculum includes private lessons in guitar, piano, violin, viola, cello, and voice; early childhood music, group classes to develop ensemble and performance skills, theory-ear training classes, chamber music, junior orcheatra, chamber orchestra and children’s choir. In addition, violin, cello, viola and guitar (plus a new guitar ensemble) are taught using the Suzuki method.
