The Crowden Center for Music in the Community (CCMC) offers after-school, weekend, and summer art and music classes that meet the needs of a growing number of children and adults. Over 700 students register for classes ranging from art, drama, pre-instrument training, and musicianship to beginning, intermediate, and advanced courses for string, wind, and piano players. CCMC faculty, drawn from the ranks of the Bay Area's premier professional musicians and teachers, provide high-quality music education at an affordable cost for all ages and levels of ability, while encouraging a life-long love of music. The CCMC supports musicians, music teachers, and music institutions with training, affiliate programs, and collaboration in performance, and sponsors a number of popular outreach events and special concerts throughout the year.
