Of Oberlin’s 339 faculty members, 253 teach in the College of Arts and Sciences and 86 teach in the Conservatory of Music. They are eminently qualified for their positions with more than 97 percent having earned doctoral or terminal degrees in their field, many from the world’s finest graduate institutions. The faculty-student ratio is 11:1 in the College and 8:1 in the conservatory.
